Dennis - Cat 4!

Dennis is now swirling over Cuba with 150mph winds. Five more and it will be a Category 5 which will make it as strong as Camille in 1969.

We just experienced what forecasters said would be the far outer bands. Or so with think anyway. A big ring of clouds just appeared about an hour ago and rain started. It's stopped so far.

Our company is having us do a Disaster Recovery exercise here today which is all precautionary in case the storm changes direction. It's silly really but no one takes anything for granted round here anymore.

We're expecting a soggy, windy weekend but nothing too awful. The closer the eye is to Tampa the more gusty and rainy it will be. All that said, right now looks like one of your typical summer sunny/rainy days.
