More wobbling

The models last night showed the eye of the storm passing maybe 50 miles south of where it's predicting it will pass now - which is good news for us.

But, I think what it really shows is that they have no freaking clue where this storm will go. But, the upshot is, that cold front is starting to push down which is the protective barrier between us and the center of the storm.

No matter what, we're going to see a lot of 'weather' and the storm though coming through the south (Ft Meyers), is angling up northeast so actually the area around my grandmother through to Titusville and Melbourne area will see a lot fo bad weather and are actually under a hurricane watch. There's discussion of evacuation of Brevard County (which is Titusville/Cape Canveral south to maybe Vero Beach or so).

The wind gusts on Monday are predicted around 40mph which is pretty stiff of a wind. I'll probably bring loose items in this afternoon since 40mph gusts can translate badly into some stronger wind tunnels.

Yesterday we got pounded with rain and there was a lot of flooding out on Celebration Avenue. Today it will get progressively more miserable and then by Monday it will be a 'stay in' kind of day.

My sister is going to get my grandmother later this morning (we rented a car since mine is uncomfortable for her, not to mention unreliable) and then we'll be "hunkered down."

Unlike the storms of last year, there's no all day curfew or anything. But there's no point in going out either.
