Category 5 Hype

Ernesto's path has shifted again and is even more on track for Orlando than before. With this comes the inevitable Category Five level news hype. Over the next few days, our local weathermen will start to wear wrinkled shirts and loose ties, looking like they are embedded journalists in a desert war.

I'm not saying there's nothing to fuss about because the path is very similar to Ol Charley's from 2 years ago. But if it DOES get here at Wednesday/Thurs like they are predicting, it won't have much chance to build up a fury like Katrina. From last year, Katrina was a smallish Cat 2 or 3 storm across southern Florida but it was the hundreds of miles of warm waters of the Gulf that turned it into the hellion it became.
